Although the treatment of scalp micropigmentation (SMP) was initially introduced as a solution for men experiencing hair loss due to scarring, genetics, alopecia, and other numerous reasons, with the passage of time this treatment started to treat thousands of women globally who were experiencing ongoing hair loss in any way.
There are a number of diverse reasons due to which the women as well go through hair loss problems that become quite stressful for them and make them less confident while carrying themselves. One of the major long-term reasons is the imbalance of the hormones, other than that several short-term causes also exist. Another reason can be a recent pregnancy which is referred to as postpartum hair loss, the hair loss problem can even be a side effect of the reaction to certain medications. Alopecia is also common in women and affects the skin of the scalp and is a hair loss condition either entirely around the scalp or in patches. Like alopecia areata, alopecia totalis, alopecia universalis, and a lot of other types that cause thinning of the hair. Other reasons why women may lose their hair could be from braiding, hairstyles that pull on the scalp, chemical treatments such as coloring and weaves.
